FootballUnited.com exists for the soccer fans who use our service – we believe that when FootballUnited is great for our fans, then it’s a good business for us. We reckon that fans know more about their team than the professional journalists that cover matches for TV and newspapers: our job is to give fans the tools to prove us right!

We’re launching in June 2009 with a core team of three – Johan, Sam & Will. Each of us has done something a little like this before: you’ll find us here at TeamFUtd, and on the Forums. We’ve already had heaps of help from Stuart, who’s giving a leg up to new & old bloggers to get started on FUtd. And from Jonathon – a serious, grown up journalist, who writes a weekly Opinion piece over at Musings. Drop us a line if you want to get involved.

So, yes, we’re a business: look around the site and you’ll find advertising and sponsorship. It all helps pay for the bandwidth, and data, for the support team and future development. When Member bloggers are kind enough to run our blogs on their pages, we share half the ad money with them – and they can run their own advertising alongside ours.

We’re independent. The company has private finance from backers who share our mission to help fans create the best source of football news, online and offline, bar none.
